Common questions

Is it really free, with no account?

Yes. Making an SOP, reading it, copying it and printing it or saving it as a PDF need no account and no email address. You only need a free Wikidoc account to edit the SOP, keep it, or turn it into training. The Free plan includes 3 documents.

What happens to my video?

It’s deleted from Wikidoc’s storage as soon as it’s analysed, and Wikidoc never keeps your recording. It’s analysed by Google’s Gemini API under its paid-service terms, which don’t allow your video or the results to be used to improve Google’s products. Google keeps them only for a limited time, to detect misuse. Your screenshots stay in your browser unless you save the SOP.

How many SOPs can I make?

1 SOP a day, free. The count resets at midnight UTC, and the sample doesn’t count. For more, create a free Wikidoc account, which includes 3 documents, or start a paid plan for unlimited documents.

Can I use a Loom, Zoom or Teams recording?

Yes, once it’s downloaded as an MP4, WebM or MOV file of up to 2 minutes and 100 MB. The tool doesn’t take links, so download the recording first.

What kinds of recordings work best?

A screen recording of one task in software, from start to finish: booking a client in, raising an invoice, running a report. Slow, deliberate clicks help, and so does talking through what you’re doing. Phone videos of physical work aren’t supported yet.

How long can the recording be?

Up to 2 minutes and 100 MB. If a recording is longer, the tool uses the first 2 minutes. Wikidoc itself takes recordings of up to 10 minutes on its paid plans.

Which languages does it support?

English. The SOP is written in English, and recordings work best when any narration is in English too. In Wikidoc, you can translate a saved SOP into other languages.

Can I edit the SOP?

Copy it into your own editor and change anything you like, or save it to Wikidoc, where it opens in an editor with your screenshots in place. Every AI draft needs a human read-through before your team relies on it.
