Common questions

What should a cleaner induction cover?

Paperwork and checks, chemical safety and protective equipment, how to use the equipment, colour coding, how to report incidents, each site’s spec, keys and alarms, and supervised first shifts.

How long should a cleaner induction take?

The core induction usually takes a few hours, plus supervised shifts. Each new site needs its own short induction on its spec and access rules.

Do cleaners need chemical safety training?

Yes. Most safety laws expect workers to be trained on the hazardous chemicals they use, how to read labels and safety data sheets, and what protection to wear. Check the rules where you operate.

Can I run cleaner inductions in Wikidoc?

Yes. Build a training program from your chemical safety and site SOPs, translated into the languages your cleaners read, and assign it to each new starter with due dates. You can see who finished each lesson and when.
